Charlotte Loan Department - loan processing

I have a loan with BOA for 18 years. The interest rate finally got low enough for me to reapply for a refinance. They had sent me pre-approved loan refinance requests every month for years. I called for the refinance. We are retired but make sufficient money to qualify for a loan plus have an 800 credit score. They have asked for everything I own. Even trying to make me prove the cash deposits I have made to my account. My bank said it was cash. What do they want, serial numbers? No one will call you back or answer the phone. The loan was scheduled to close on June 1 but they could not get their paperwork together before then so they postponed it to June 8. They were to call with a time and branch for the closing. The day before we have heard nothing. No one will answer our calls. We finally got in touch with a loan supervisor who says he will check the problem and let us know the next business day which should be the closing but he was certain it would not close then since it wasn't ready. 60 days is not enough and 200 plus pages of documentation from me and my bank, employer, insurance company, etc. is not enough for them to decide if they can make a loan. If they are worried I can't make the payment, then how do they think I make it now at twice the payment amount? No one should ever use BOA for anything. After 60 days of being told there is no problem with the loan, I am going to a small hometown bank to close in the next 2 weeks. This is a mess! I plan to sue for age discrimination since that is the only reason for all of this delay. They have checked every debit from my account and even asked me what I purchased with $69. I say it is none of their business. What a bunch of losers!
